Guana Fishing is comprised of Expert Guides that have a firm understanding of fishing from reading the tides and weather to rigging up and tieing the correct knots. We will deliver an experience to the advanced or novice fisherman that they will never forget!
We are offering the best inshore fishing in tidal estuaries and from the beach in a variety of locations mainly we will fish in either Playa Langosta or playa Avellanas. In these locations we will target a variety of species such as Snapper, Snook, Jacks, Rooster fish and much more!
We will be surrounded by the beauty of Costa Rican nature where we can see all sorts of wildlife during the excursions such as: Spotted eagle rays, monkeys, parrots, turtles and more! Our guided tour will focus mainly on catching our clients fish they can take home to eat, trophy fish and of course to enjoy the beautiful beach and estuaries!

Andrew Mercer
Our head guide and Founder is Andrew Mercer. Andrew has called Playa Langosta home for the past 18 years! Having been an avid fisherman since his youth growing up in Florida he has always been fishing!!

Steven leal Azofeifa
Born and raised in the heart of Guanacaste, Steven is a true local with saltwater in his veins. Having fished the waters of Tamarindo since childhood, he carries with him generations of fishing knowledge and a deep respect for the sea.
